This may be a phenomenon limited to where I live right now, but I don’t think it is.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have never been anywhere. And I don’t mean that they haven’t been anywhere cool. They just haven’t been any farther from the place they grew up than 100 miles.

And that blows my mind.

Not only are you limiting yourself and your experiences, but you aren’t getting any exposure to other people and their experiences.

Maybe that is the exact thing that keeps people in a rut. And the thing that keeps the world from changing.

As for me, travel is in my blood.

There is this German word…Fernweh…that roughly means a longing for a place other than home. That’s what I’ve got. It’s a thousand times stronger than any wanderlust. And it’s insatiable.

So, this project – whose name was clearly inspired by my deep and abiding love of Star Trek – is going to not only chronicle my own travels, but is going to help you plan yours.

Plan your trips based on some of them I’ve taken, or use our services to let us plan it for you. Either way, you’re going to have a great time, if you’ll just boldy go.
