In the coming months, we’re taking the kids on a trip through southern Alabama, Mississippi and back-country Louisiana.
With the exception of the city of New Orleans, this is new territory for us.
We’ve got a max of four days, and one is dedicated to New Orleans, but other than that…we need some ideas.
Bayou. Swamps. Gators. Plantations. We want to see the deep south.
Drop your best recommendations in the comments. (We’re open to just about anything that is appropriate for kids under 16.)
HELP!
I don’t live anywhere near but I can’t wait to see you post about the places you visit!!!
I’ve never been to Louisiana, so I will definitely be coming back to see the recommendations. I’m dying to explore New Orleans and beyond.
I can’t help, but I mean if you want someone extra to tag along I’m your girl haha! It sounds like it will be a fun trip! Drive safe!!
I lived in Slidell (about 30 mins outside of NOLA) and loved the Honey Island Swamp Tour growing up. There are also some pretty cool plantations in St. Francisville.
Oh I have never been but that sounds so fun!!!
