A Less Than Legal Hike on Oahu

Everybody hikes Diamond Head and Manoa Falls.

This one is less known…Lulumahu Falls. And this is what you’ll find if you google it:

“If you try to hike into Lulumahu Falls, in Nuuanu Valley, you could be arrested, seriously injured (it’s within a bow and arrow hunting ground) or get lost. It’s very, very hard to find.”

It was rainy. And muddy. And AMAZING.

  1. Hiking to a waterfall is a perfect adventurous trek – I need to lace up my shoes and douse myself with mosquito repellent and head to the rainforest to get an eyeful of Oahu’s scenic wonders. Beautiful pictures you got there.

    Your photos remind me totally of all the crazy hikes hubby and I did a long time ago in Maui. I love your waterfall scenes. I’m not sure I’d be able to manage some of those intense and technical hikes like I used to. But those falls might be worth the try!

      It’s on government owned property, and has signs all over saying NO TRESPASSING. There is bow and arrow hunting allowed, but you have to have a permit to do it.
